VEUN KHAN (Laos-Cambodia border)
STUNG STRENG  - KRATIE - KOMPONG CHAM - PHNOM PENH:
Daily departure from Veun Khan (Laos - Cambodia border)

ITINERARY:

Day 1: Veun Khan - Stung Treng - Kratie(L,D)
Proceed through customs and immigration at Veun Kham immigration check- point (At the moment, it is not possible to get the Cambodian visa at this border; travelers need to get it prior to arrival). Welcome by your guide on the Cambodian side and departure by boat to Stung Treng (1 ½ hours navigation by speed boat). Arrive in Stung Treng and lunch at local restaurant. Continue by road to Kratie. Stop to see and observe by boat the rare river. Dolphins until sunset. Arrival in Kratie and check in at hotel. Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at Oudom Sambath Hotel (2-star, best available).

Day 2: Kratie - Kompong Cham - Phnom Penh (Departure)(B,L)
Breakfast at local restaurant.
Visit Kratie, this small colonial-style town. Departure by road to Kompong Cham. On the way to Kompong Cham stop at Chhlong, a small and peaceful village on the Mekong River Bank with both Khmer and Colonial architecture. Lunch at local restaurant in Kompong Cham.
Visit Wat Nokhor with its ancient temple and modern style pagoda (12th century) and tour of Kampong Cham to view examples of colonial architecture. Continue to Phnom Penh (approx 2.30 hrs drive).

Trip includes:
Transfers and tours with local English or French speaking guide. Accommodation in shared twin rooms at indicated hotels or similar, meals as specified in the program (B=Breakfast, L=Lunch, D=Dinner), entrance fees, service charges, room tax and baggage handling.
