 The traditional residential buildings in the western part of Fujian province---the Hakka Earth Buildings are called by the UNESCO as the Eighth World Wonder.
The appearance of these earth buildings looks as grand as the ancient Roman Coliseum. They are suspected to be the source of inspiration for the designs of many modern stadiums. Because of its unique design , magnificent structure and its anti-humidity and anti-earthquake nature, Hakka Earth Buildings is branded as the legendary residential buildings on earth!

Day 01ARRIVE XIAMEN
Fly to Xiamen.
Upon arrival in Xiamen, be met and transferred to Marco Polo Hotel in the central area of the city. Enjoy your rest of the day in this beautiful beach city.

Day 02XIAMEN/LONGYAN
Today we will drive 190 km eastward, pass over mountains and enter Hakka people’s area to explore their amazing earth houses and folk customs. In layout, the houses are round, square or round and square nested together with high and thick walls, in which live hundreds of families. In this way, residents have a better ability to protect themselves from outside invasions. Stay tonight in Shanshui Hotel, the best available.

Day 03LONGYANG/XIAMEN
In the morning, we will visit some other villages along with the earth buildings, then drive 5 hours back to Xiamen. Check into Marco Polo.

Day 04DEPART XIAMEN
Today we are going to visit Gulangyu Island, 10-minute-ferry away from Xiamen city, which is also a home of music. It was the center for foreign communities who settled here after 1842. On the island, you will visit the Sunlight Rock of 93-meter high, Xiamen Museum with thousands of exhibits, lovely tropical Shuzhuang Garden. After lunch, be transferred to the airport for the flight out.
