04 DAYS FACE TO FACE WITH THE PANDA

How best can you describe a panda - lively, gentle, naughty and clumsy?They are just simply the most adorable animal in China! This trip is specially arranged with the Woolong Reserve allows you to spend a full day here with lecture by the reserve director and a chance to spend the afternoon with animal tending/handling them as a volunteer - an experience of a life time!
The Woolong Reserve itself is also a wildly beautiful area and you get to enjoy walks to appreciate the scenery.
While in Chengdu, you will also visit Dujiangyan, an ancient dam predating the Great Wall and Le Shan Big Buddha. UNESCO listed both world heritage sites in 2000 & 1996 respectively.

Day 01ARRIVE CHENGDU
Fly to Chengdu.
Upon arrival, met & transfer to Crown Plaza Hotel.
Chengdu is the capital of Sichuan province, the Land of Abundance. After a lunch with traditional Chengdu snacks, we spend the afternoon visiting the Panda conservatory at Chengdu.

Day 02CHENGDU/WOOLONG
Drive about 138km (3 hours) to Woolong Natural Reserve Area. Check into the Woolong Hotel.
This afternoon will be one that you will cherish for a long time! Special permission has been obtained for all tour members to be volunteers at the Panda Base for half a day. You will assist in feeding the giant Pandas in the giant panda enclosure & cub center.
Lunch and dinner in the hotel.

Day 03WOOLONG/CHENGDU
We today drive back to Chengdu. En route, visit Dujiangyan Irrigation System en route. Dujiangyan predates the Great Wall and many consider it a greater scientific project than the ancient wall than the wall. UNESCO listed it as a world heritage site in 2000.
Check into Crown Plaza. After dinner, you will enjoy a unique and disappearing Sichuan performing art - Bain Lain (face changing).

Day 04DEPART CHENGDU
This morning, make an excursion to see the Le Shan Big Buddha , the world’s largest Buddha statue. Its toe alone sits more than 20 persons! Transfer to the airport for flight out.
