Wonder where all the Chinese artists got their inspiration for the mountain scenery? Now you know most are Huangshan- the Yellow Mountain!
Huangshan, known as "the loveliest mountain of China", was acclaimed through many arts and literature. Today it still holds the same fascination for visitors, poets, painters and photographers who come in pilgrimage to this enchanting site. It is renowned for its magnificent scenery made up of many granite peaks and rocks emerging out of a sea of clouds.
Apart from the mountain itself, there are some of the prettiest, best preserved ancient villages around the foot of the mountains. Old houses in traditional rural setting, Centuries old rich merchant houses and historical cultural streets all add much to the Huangshan adventure.
Both the Yellow Mountain and the villages are now UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Day 01ARRIVE TUNXI
Fly to Tunxi.
Upon arrival, met & transfer to Jiaogou Hotel for 1 night on bed & breakfast basis.

Day 02TUNXI/HUANGSHAN
This morning, we drive about 2 hours to the base of Huangshan. We spend the day visiting the many lovely traditional villages in idyllic rural setting. We explore in greater details Hongcun with many gorgeous ancient wealthy merchant’s mansions.
Late afternoon, we ascend by cable car to the top of the Yellow Mountain and hike about 30 mins to the Northern Sea Hotel.

Day 03HUANGSHAN
Today, we spend a full day hiking on the ridges of Huangshan. Enjoy the lovely rhododendrons and pine forests as well as many stunning view points that have inspried so many Chinese artists.

Day 04HUANGSHAN/DEPART TUNXI
Rise early for a sunrise excursion before returning to the hotel for breakfast.
Descend by cable car before driving the 2 hours back to Tunxi. Tunxi is a properous town with an atmospheric ancient cultural street. Lined with many old houses, many of which are now art & crafts galleries and teashops, it’s excellent for exploration and shopping.
After lunch, fly out.
