Yunnan - the land south of the cloud is one of the most colorful and beautiful in China. The landscape is extremely varied - from the luxuriant fertile plains to rugged Tibetan highland. This is also where you find most of Chinese colorful ethnic minorities. Lijiang - an UNESCO World heritage sites is undoubted a highlight for any visit to Kunming. Ancient canals criss-crossed the old town filled with unique well-preserved house. You still find traditionally clad old Naxi Women selling their trade on the bricks alleys.

Day 01 ARRIVE LIJIANG
Fly to Lijiang.
Arrive Lijiang, met and transfer to Jian-nan-chun Hotel, a hotel converted from one of the traditional houses right in the heart of Old Lijiang.
This afternoon, take an orientation walking tour of Lijiang Old town, including Mu Mansion, and the Lion Hill, where you can get a bird eye view of the old town and take fantastic photos. Tonight’s dinner will be in a very cozy little restaurant near the creek in the old town Enjoy Naxi Pizza and other local food.

Day 02LIJIANG
This morning, we enjoy tour to the Black Dragon Pond. Explore this scenic area including a visit to the Dongba Research Institute.
In the afternoon, explore the outskirt of Lijiang. Drive through lovely sceneries and visit the villages of Yuhu (Jade Lake), Baisha (for the mural) and Longquan as well as the home of explorer Joseph Rock. You will also enjoy a lunch in a farmhouse in Longquan.
Tonight, be treated to a performance by the Naxi Orchestra by Xuan Ke.

Day 03LIJIANG
Today, we will make an excursion to visit Tiger Leaping Gorge. You will have time at leisure to explore this wonderful old town and do your own shopping.

Day 04DEPART LIJIANG
Transfer to the airport for flight out.
