 Known as the capital city for 13 dynasties, Luoyang is also the home of peony, the national flower of China. April is the time when the flower is in full boom and the time when the city hosts the annual poeny show.
What can be a more stunning contrast with the lovely flower than the epitome of Chinese martial arts - the Shaolin Kung Fu! This trip takes you to the Shao Lin Temple itself in Song Mountain and you will have a lecture by a senior Shaolin Monk who shares with you how the martial arts help with body weight!
In addition, the trip also cover Longmen Grottoes, one of the 4 main Buddhist caves in China and UNESCO World Heritage site.

Day 01ARRIVE LUOYANG
Fly to Luoyang.
Upon arrival, met & transfer to Poeny Hotel. This evening, be treated to a soup banquet dinner, the ancient royal banquet with 24 dishes.

Day 02LUOYANG
In the morning, we will visit the Longmen Grottoes, one of the 4 most famous Buddhist grottoes in China with over one hundred thousand Buddha figures in more than twenty three hundred niches carved on the hill. UNESCO listed it a world heritage site in 2000.
In the afternoon, enjoy the peonies with thousands in blossom and in various colors.

Day 03LUOYANG
We will drive 1½ hours to Songshan Mountain, visiting famous Shaolin Temple, the cradle of Shaolin Kung Fu and the number one Buddhist temple in China. Today it is famous for its research, contribution and development to the Zen sect of the Chinese Buddhism. Visit the Forest of Pagodas. Then, we will go to Gongyi (1.5 hours drive) to visit the Kang’s Manor. This 64300 square meters mansion houses a family that has flourished for 12 generations.
Drive about 40 minutes back to Luoyang for a farewell dinner

Day 04DEPART LUOYANG
In the morning, we visit the White Horse Temple, the very first temple in China when Buddhism was introduced from India.
Transfer to the airport for flight out.
