Truly the roof of the world! The majestic moonlike
landscape and the stunning cultures make this one of
the world’s most alluring destinations.
While Tibet itself certainly fascinates every
visitor, this itinerary takes care of the final
details to allow you to appreciate its unique
heritage, religion, life-style and arts. We include
a visit to a nunnery, catching a monk debating
session in a monastery, watching a renowned tangka
painter at work and meeting a nomad family.
Traveling in Tibet can be rough and the high
altitude is a concern. Our package offers the best

make the adventure as comfortable as possible.
Day 01ARRIVE LHASA
Fly to Lhasa via Chengdu.
Upon arrival in Lhasa, the capital, met & drive
about 1.5 hours to Lhasa or Shangbala
At 3500m, it is advisable to take the rest of the
day easily for better acclimatization. Have a
leisurely 1 hour orientation drive around Lhasa city
before dinner in the old city center.
Day 02LHASA
This morning, we tour Potala Palace - listed as an
UNESCO world heritage site. It dominates the city of
Lhasa and is perhaps the most famous landmark of
Tibet. Afternoon, we cover Jokhang monastery - the
"central cathedral", the Nunnery, which is the only
one inside Lhasa city, Barkhor - the bustling market
in the heart of old Lhasa with its narrow streets.

Day 03LHASA
Today, we make an excursion to Ganden Monastery
about 2 hours drive away. The Monastery is at 4500m
and commands a great view. We will arrange for you
to have a session with the monks for discussion. You
will also enjoy a ½-day hike around the surrounding
villages to experience the Tibetan rural life.

Day 04LHASA/NACHU
In the morning, we drive 100 km (2 hours) northward
to visit Yangpachen county, famous for its hot
springs. En route, we will enjoy the beautiful
northern Tibetan grassland. After having lunch in
Yangpachen, we will visit the hot springs and
overlook the thermoelectricity plant.
In the afternoon continue another 2 hours drive
northward towards Dangxiong. Enjoy excellent views
of the well known Nyainqentanglha Range en route. We
will drive to visit Namtso Lake, the largest Sacred
lake in Tibet. With limpid blue water, the lake has
a magnificent reflection of the sky and a marvelous
view of snow-capped mountains, glaciers, pastures
and yurts. Check into Nachu Hotel.

Day 05NACHU/LHASA
Today, we will drive 4 hours back to Lhasa. En
route, visit a local Tibetan village ,to see their
traditional tranquil lifestyle. Check into Shangbala
or Lhasa Hotel.
In the afternoon, we catch the monk debating at Sera
Monastery, which is one of the best-preserved
monasteries in Tibet. Within its whitewashed walls
and golden roofs, several hundred monks live and
study. We also visit the Lhasa Museum.

Day 06LHASA/ DEPART CHENGDU
Transfer to the airport for flight back home via
Chengdu.
