Dzung, this
was wonderful,
Tralfik was AT
the pier.
We were among
the first off
the ship, (we
make it a point
to be out early
because we are
usually excited
to see what a
port is
like). Tralfik
was smiling and
had his sign up
hoping we, the
first ones to
disembark, were
his group and we
were.. We,
on the other
hand, were very
HAPPY to meet
him. He
has a pleasing
and warm
personality
and he toured us
to our desires.
Thank you so
much Dzung for
this excursion.
This
is what we
had hoped and
looked forward
to. As for
the
Hotel,
Dzung, thank you
so much for
being part of
the the upgrade
for us.
That is a
magnificent
hotel.
We loved every
minute of it.
Thank you Dzung for helping us see and experience your part of the
world. It
was a part of
the world with
interesting
history that
made me think of
our creator.
Giving us so
much variety in
culture,
architectural
and
flora design,
economic goals,
spiritual
pursuits.
Wonderful for
our memory.
Thank
you again
for
everything.

Aloha!
We've just
returned
from a fast
(5 day) trip
to Minnesota
for a family
wedding.
This made it
15 flights
in 34 days
for us.
11 in
Vietnam.
I will send
photos later
but I wanted
to say
mahalo
again and
again for
arranging
such a
wonderful
trip for us
this year.
The transfer
driver in
Hanoi (Mr.
Trung) was
professional,
courteous,
and always
there when
we expected
him....all
five
transfers.
The young
guide in
Sapa to
BacHa market
was fun and
full of
energy.
He led me to
some
excellent
'face'
pictures in
the market.
Laos:
what a
fantastic
experience.
The guide,
Nong, in
Vientiane
showed us so
many
beautiful
sights and
taught us
much about
the history.
He was
courteous,
professional
and a
pleasure to
be with.
Mr.
To(Soukasane) in
Pakse went
out of his
way for us.
My husband
'admired'
the orange
shirt a
toll-collector
on one of
the roads
was
wearing...orange
is my
husband's
favorite
color of the
year.
When he
picked us up
for our
return to
the Pakse
airport he
handed my
husband a
package of
the very
same orange
cloth from
which the
toll
collector's
shirt was
made because
he couldn't
find a shirt
in any shop
in Pakse
(Bill had it
tailored
into a shirt
in
HoiAn...pics
to follow).
He suggested
an elephant
ride at the
end of the
day on the
Boloven
Plain...we
were tired
and said, no
thanks.
On second
thought we
decided to
do that when
we returned
from the Vat
Phou river
trip....we
did...and
what a grand
time we had.
Elephants
are my
favorite
animals (we
lived in
South Africa
for 4 years
and saw many
African
elephants
there.)
Mr. Boonliep
was a great
source of
information
and humor on
our Vat Phou
trip...and
what a boat!
Wonderful.
There was
only one
other couple
on it at the
same time so
we felt very
privileged.
Hoi An....a
day trip to
Chu Lai
where my
husband
re-visited
some of the
area where
he had been
as a very
young Marine
in 1967.
Quyen was
especially
knowledgeable
and
considerate
on this day.
NhaTrang....the
Evason
Hideaway.
No words to
describe
this luxury.
Enh, our
'butler' for
beach villa
18 was an
outstanding
example of
the
friendliness
of those
from
Vietnam.
Thank you
for booking
us into the
Hideaway.
We have
always
stayed at
the Resort
and Spa in
NhaTrang and
didn't know
quite what
to expect
from the
Hideaway.
Now we're
torn as to
whether we
can go back
to the
resort and
spa or
always book
into the
Hideaway.
We were able
to make an
earlier
departure
from the
Hideaway
on our last
day (thanks
to the
management
and our
butler, Enh)
so we could
have lunch
with Chef
David at Ana
Mandara and
see his
daughter,
Ana, who is
such a
delight!
What an
exquisite
time in that
whole area.
Back again
to the
Renaissance
Riverside...river
view room
(at our
request) I
can sit for
long periods
watching the
activity on
the river
while Bill
walks the
city.
The 'news'
in VN was
that the
Park Hyatt
is THE PLACE
to be....I
don't know.
I find it
hard to
improve on
the
Renaissance.
I will send
pictures but
wanted to
say a
belated
thanks for
the amazing
trip.
We're ready
to go again
so will be
checking out
itineraries
for next
year....any
suggestions?

and Cambodia on
a trip
that you had
organised for
us.
We had a
wonderful time

much about these
beautiful
countries.
Every guide we
had was
excellent. They
were informative
and entertaining
, extremely
courteous and
greatly added to
our enjoyment of
the holiday.
They all spoke
very good
English. The
drivers were all
very careful and

We very much
enjoyed the

were very
varied.
Thank you all

Dear Pham Thi
I just wanted to

such a fantastic

enjoyed everything

Cambodia was
particularly good Mr

I have to say we

worried about the

Dear Mr. Dzung,
Yes we had a
fabulous time, and
we are now back into
our old routine.
I would have written
sooner, but we went
right from Cambodia
to Okinawa, because
Larry had to go to
some classes.
The first part of
our trip, the Hanoi
and Sapa portions,
were so interesting,
and we loved our
guide, PyTree (sp).
His love for his
country and his
pride in his people,
just made us also
love and care for
the people.
What a beautiful
country, and what
hard working people.
The HaLong Bay
portion of our trip
was remarkable.
What a BEAUTIFUL
place, and we so
enjoyed the boat.
The people were very
nice, and the food
was delicious!
And of course,
PyTree was so
knowledgeable, and
so fun.
The HoChiMing City
portion of our trip
was very
interesting.
The War Museum and
the Cuchi Tunnels
were rather
unsettling, but
interesting.
Our guide was
excellent, and very
caring. I got
sick while on the
river, and he was so
kind and helpful.
We loved the hotel
in Cambodia, as it
was new and
beautiful. Our
guide was VERY
knowledgeable, and
spoke very clearly.
He was very good.
We thought that all
of the temples were
amazing.
We wish to thank you
for helping us to
see you beautiful
country. We
thank you for the
excellent guides,
and for the
wonderful itinerary.
It was everything
and more, than we
expected.
We will not hesitate
to tell all of our
friends, who might
wish to come to
Vietnam, to contact
you. Ours was truly
a trip of a
lifetime.
Sincerely, Joan

We had a great

Dear Discovery
Indochina,
We want to thank you
again for a wonderful
trip to Vietnam and
Cambodia. Your company
provided excellent value
and was well organized.
We would definitely
recommend your services
to other tourists! We
have already mentioned
you on
www.frommers.com
and will also mention
you on other popular
U.S. travel websites. We
were impressed by the
schedule youcreated for
us, the hotels,
transportation, and
guides.
Of our three guides, two
were excellent: Ms
Nguyen Thi Lan, and Mr
Ha Van Sy. Both were
full of knowledge of
Vietnam, enthusiasm,
friendliness, and
energy. Both made us
feel very welcome, and
that they were happy to
teach us as much as
possible about
Vietnamese culture and
history. We would
recommend Discovery
Indochina uses their
services as much as
possible! We will
remember Lan and Sy as
two of the wonderful
people we met in your
county, who helped make
our trip very special.
Our guide in Siem Reap,
Mr Singah (I do not know
the spelling of his
name) had very good
English and knowledge of
Cambodia. He answered
all of our questions,
but should sometimes
work on acting
friendlier.
Our driver in Siem Reap
was very good, and
always had cold water
for us in the car. This
was a wonderful service,
and you might want all
of your drivers tokeep
water.
One last comment is that
I was sometimes confused
when communicating with
your office. Some of my
questions were answered,
and some were not.
Different people emailed
me, and I did not know
if I had a contact
person within your
office. It must be very
hard at your end, since
you conduct your
business in different
languages, but I wanted
to let you know how it
felt from my end.
Overall, we had an
excellent experience
with your company, and
would definitely use
your services again.
Thank you for all of
your hard work putting
together our trip!

We have just returned

Dear Dzung,
We are writing to you
now from our home in
France to give you
some feedback about the
last part of our
wonderful trip through
Vietnam.
We enjoyed our excursion
in the Mekong Delta very
much, especially thanks
to the excellent guide,
Mr Hung. He
was extremely qualified,
very professional, and
spoke excellent French.
His presence contributed
considerably to our
appreciation of this
special region, giving
us insight into the many
aspects of life around
the delta.
We found Vietnam to be a
fascinating country,
with beautiful
scenery, nice people,
and a rich culture. We
hope to be able to
return again, and when
we do we will certainly
contact you for help
with our arrangements.
Meanwhile, we will
recommend your services
to the people around us.
Wishing you all the
best, and regards to the

Dear Dzung,
Thank you for organizing our
recent trip. We enjoyed it,
we realize that February was
not the optimum time of year
for touring certain parts of
north Vietnam. The
highlights of our visit were
the trip to Mai Chau,
staying in the village, and
Hue, that certainly deserved
three more days than we
spent there. Both Hanoi and
Hoi An are spoilt with the
motor cycles, blocking the
pavement, the road, and the
petrol fumes were most
unpleasant, it must be much
worse for the residents,
tourists can go home. Hoi
An is small and the town
authorities do seem to be
trying to control the motor
cycles, they need the
support of people like
yourself in the tourist
industry. All the drivers
you assigned to us were very
good, careful and slow where
necessary yet they did not
waste time. We enjoyed the
company of the guides,
knowlegeable and friendly.
We enjoyed the tour and
would recommend you to
others.
Thanks and best regards,

Dear Dzung
We are now back home again -
Thank you for all your help with
our trip to Thailand/Laos. You
did a great job also this time.
Ayuthaya and Sukhothai were very
interesting especially as we
visited the Wat Angkor last
year. It was interesting to see
Chiang Mai with surroundings and
the tour by car to Chiang Rai.
The New Years Eve in Chiang Mai
was spectacular. We are happy
that we did this part of
Thailand before we went to Laos.
As you know we stared our visit
in Laos with the The Pak Ou boat
down the Mekong river for two
days to Luang Prabang. A perfect
slow boats for leisurely river
travel. It was a little cold in
the morning, but later on it was
great.
Luang Prabang, a UNESCO World
Heritage City, was a great
positive surprise. Luang Prabang
is a very beautiful city with an
interesting history. We stayed
only three nights, but had been
happy to spend another three
night at this lovely place.
Vientienne was also interesting
and we took long walks looking
around. There were many places
to see and visit.
The rural south was different -
we liked it very much. The Khmer
temple of Vat Phou another
UNESCO World Heritage site was
beautiful. The lovely waterfall
of Khone Phapheng, the nature,
the elephant ride in the jungle.
Laos is just great - all the
guides we had did a very good
job. The hotels were good, the
shopping was great fun, the food
was excellent, and the people
were very nice. We saw many
interesting places, among other
things all beautiful temples and
are very satisfied.
We can recommend this trip to
all friends as we loved every
minute.
My husband and I will come back
to this part of the world again
and hope you can help us then
again.
Best regards

Dear Dzung
First of all , I would like to
thank you for organising our
holiday in Vietnam, my wife and
I had a wonderful experience,
one I think we will remember for
quite a while , we are still
enjoying our photographs and
talking about what we did and
saw in Vietnam….
We found Tuan to be a great
guide, he had a good sense of
humour , was able to answer all
of our questions, and was able
to communicate well with his
knowledge of the English
language., he put a great effort
into our project in Sapa, so
much so, that I don’t think we
would have had time to complete
the concrete floor at Lao
chai school without his help.
I have told Antips that I would
like to come back to Sapa, so
maybe one day we could once
again meet up maybe doing
another project… Steven want to
organise a water generator for
the school so that the teachers
can prepare their lessons at
night, rather than use a candle
for light, so maybe this will be
another project to look at…
I have included a small package
for a small boy from Lao chai
school I’m not quite sure of his
name I think he told me his name
was Nguyen. He became a very
good friend of mine while I was
at the school , and I told him I
would send him a copy of the
photo’s I took of him and his
younger brother. I would really
appreciate if you could get them
to him when you next go to the
school in Lao Chai…
I have also included a cap and
some marbles which I hope you
will be able to give him as a
gift from me , and a return
letter if he want’s to send me a
letter…
I would like to thank you again,
for a wonderful holiday, and
hope one day to see you in
Vietnam.
