Hi Ms Trang,
We just wanted to thank you for organizing our trip
in Hanoi, the Sapa Trip and the Halong Bay Cruise.
We enjoyed them very much! In each case, we found
the drivers excellent.
Ha was very accommodating. She gave us an excellent
overview of Hanoi and was very knowledgble about
Vietnam's history which we appreciated. Huang (SaPa
tour) was very enthusiastic and pleasant.
Unfortunately, we found her english to be very
difficult to understand but she did try hard. The
Halong Bay cruise was great.
Again, thanks.

While we were away we were not able to get into our

us at our hotels.
I would recommend this tour to others.

Dear Mrs Phuong Lien,
I really enjoyed Vietnam , its inhabitants, its culinary
traditions and its handicrafts. You are very talented indeed and
I hope that you will keep up this handicraft making as I believe
that tourists are after good quality wares and very much
saturated by the Chinese poor quality goods flooding the markets
in general.
Please make a note of the following:
Cinnamon hotel in Hanoi is a fabulous little place, very
well located , extremely friendly staff always pleasing to help.
Sapa was the highlight of my stay in Vietnam, in spite of the
weather. I wished we had an extra day. Encourage tourists to
have a homestay which builds bridges between the natives and the
tourists and help us understand your culture. The Victoria
Express train and its hotel I thought were good value , even
though it's more expensive that other trains. In spite of the
long walk, Co Cly markets were sensational and still authentic.
I must telll you that I spent some time in the hills of Thailand
, north of Chang Mai, some 25 year ago, in some ways very
similar to the North West of Vietnam.
Tuan , our guide in Hanoi , Sapa and Halong Bay was extremely
good, very knowledgeable, very good command of the French
language , very caring and good organiser,to be highly
recommended. He could have come with us all the way. On the
other hand, given the differences and the subtle animosity
between the North and the South, may be it's better to have two
different guides.
I could have stayed in Hoian a little longer, very charming and
relaxing city and again a lot of handicrafts. Enjoyed Hue and
its historical past. I wish you had suggested a detour to the Ba
Ha national park.
I am glad I insisted on visiting Dalat and its minority, again
very different from Sapa and worth the detour.
The Mekong Delta was absolutely fascinating and I wish you had
suggested a homestay at the house we stayed for lunch , the Tuan
Kiet traditional wooden house. It would have been much better
that the Can Tho hotel. We may have had the time to cycle within
the vicinity of this old house.
I thought that the choice of the restaurants in Hanoi and Sapa
was good, a very good cross selection except for the one Mr
Moscato mentioned.( restaurant d'application )
Very impressed by the Cha ca la Vong, Hightway 4, Wild Rice,
(good although a little too modern cuisine for me, ) Apsara in
Danang. Incidentally as Vietnam is a very popular destination
from Australia.
Sorry for not having written to you any earlier but I caught up
with my daughter in the vicinity of Brisbane
Cheers for now.

Dear Dzung,
Thank you so much for all your help with our bookings during our recent
holiday in Vietnam. We had an absolutely fabulous time and really
appreciate all your assistance.
Our
cycling trip in
the Mekong was absolutely outstanding - the driver of the support
vehicle Huynh Phuong Truong was exceptional, very caring and
considerate, as well as being a safe and careful driver and the tour
guide Lam was excellent. They had a great knowledge of the area,
were able to give us the history and information on day to day practices
as well as taking us to various points of interest to see products such
as coconut jelly etc being made. The driver and guide worked so well
together and provided us with the most wonderful trip - we have no
hesitation in highly recommending them as an excellent combination and
great ambassadors for your business. Even though I was very unsure of
my ability to ride a bicycle, the whole trip for all of us was so much
fun and the pathways and tracks chosen were brilliant,
giving us a real insight into daily life and the beautiful scenery. The
boat trip, ferry crossings, driving, cycling
- all excellent and all very well thought out and planned - we saw so much
and had the most fabulous experience.
We look forward to being able to contact you again in the future with
further travelling plans in Vietnam Laos and Cambodia.
And I promise we will be more organized in the future and plan exactly
what we want to do all at once so there wont be so much confusion!!
Thank you again for a most wonderful holiday experience.

Dear Dzung,
Back from a very interesting trip to Vietnam, we really enjoyed it very much
although we could not go deeper
into the area due to the missing ‘special permits’. But never mind, I have a
good impression of this area.
There were not so many textiles available, but we have found a few very
interesting ones.
Christina had to prepare a presentation, so I let her do the buying of the
old ones, and I bought a few new ones,
just to stimulate the weaving.
Thanks very much for getting all this organized in such a very short time,
but it was really worth it.
We gave the ‘home-stays’ a miss, as we both preferred to have some comfort
during the nights,
an air conned room, and a toilet nearby. We are getting older Dzung!
QUESTION: As you know I’m very interested to see those shamans, either male
or female. I know around Sapa,
Yen Bai Province, Lau Chau Province and probably in more area’s. Please, in
case you know of something interesting let me know,
I will come with a few friends just like I did with the ‘Dance of the Holy
Mothers’ in Phu Giay.
Hope you will find something!!!
Thanks again and of course the Tai People are always on my list to explore
more,

Dear Dzung,
We would like to thank you so very much for organising our tour.
We loved every single bit of it, and everything went so smoothly.
We loved our hotels - although Raffles in PhomPenh would have been
lovely!!!!
We would love to come back and do the North of Vietnam - Hanoi to Sapa and
down to Luang Pabang in Laos. So if you have any ideas on that we would be
interested. Apparently there is a train from Hong Kong to
Hanoi - do you know anything about that.? Also there may be a bike ride
somewhere along the way.
Last October we rode bikes from Hanoi to Saigon - along the HCM trail. which
was fantastic, so we have done
all the popular Vietnam destinations.
Thank you once again for all the work you did putting our trip together. We
appreciate it.

Dear Ms Thi,
We just got back to Toronto from Vietnam and Cambodia. We are very
leased with the services arranged for us. The Hotels, Zephyr in Hanoi,
Duxton in Saigon and Prince D'Angkor in Siem Reap were good quality 4
star accommodations. They were centrally located in the Downtown area
and within easy walking distance to many interesting places. The
Breakfast in the Hotels were very good and the Lunch and Dinners
arranged in local restaurants were also excellent.
Our trip to Halong Bay was awesome and the Lunch on the junk boat was
excellent.
Your English speaking guides and drivers were punctual, courteous,
informative and went out of their way to make our stay in each place
very pleasant.
Overall your Company did an excellent job and we would certainly
recommend your Company to our friends.
Thank you for arranging a wonderful trip for us.

My wife and I have now returned to Australia. We were pleased to meet
you in person, if only for a brief exchange, on our last day in Ha noi.
We would like to thank you and Discovery Indochina most sincerely for
arranging our private tour of Vietnam and in particular, our visit to
the Long Tan Cross. A first for you. All aspects of the tour worked
perfectly, our accommodation was of a very high standard and each of our
guides added much to our overall knowledge of Vietnam and were excellent
company. As a suggestion, perhaps the use of the cable car during the
visit to the Perfume Pagoda, for more senior persons such as us, could
be offered as an optional extra. A number of our friends have already
contacted us regarding our tour. I will give them your contact details.

Dear Thi,
Yes, we arrived home safely and had a wonderful time in Indochina
and also in Bali, where
we were for our last week of the holiday. As you can see from the
message below, some
of the script is hard to read. I think that I can understand the
context of the message,
but am missing some of the key words.
I am in the process of looking at our pictures and I do have many
group pictures that I
would be happy to forward as soon as I have a chance to do so. I
would also like to
respond to the request about strengths of the trip and also
suggestions for future trips,
but here there are just a couple, as the trip was everything we had
hoped it to be.
We did enjoy meeting you in Hanoi as it is so nice to see the
person who was an integral
part of our life for the year proceeding our dream holiday. Thank
you for reimbursing
Wendy, also.
I will be back in contact with you as soon as I can.
