ITINERARY:
DAY
1: HOIAN - PLEIKU (D)
Pick-up at your hotel and transfer to the airport
for a flight to Pleiku. Meet upon arrival and drive
to visit Bien Ho (T’nung Lake), local market then
transfer to Pleiku Hotel for check-in. Dinner and
accommodation at Pleiku Hotel.
DAY 2: PLEKU -KONTUM - PLEIKU (B,L,D)
Transfer to Kontum, on the way visit Giarai ethnic
people farming, Giarai’s typical funeral. It was
wonderful to know and to pass through vast farms as
well as get to know the traditional side of Giarai’s
people funeral. Lunch at local restaurant. In the
afternoon, continue visit suspension bridge of Dak
Dri, Wooden Church and ancient cathedrals. Drive
back Pleiku.
Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at Pleiku
Hotel.
DAY 3: PLEIKU - BUON ME THUOT - LAK LAKE (B,L,D)
Drive to to Buon Me Thuot, famous for its coffee
plantations. On the way, visit a Banar village.
Lunch at local restaurant. Arrival Lak Lake. A
scenic boat ride on dugout canoes (2 persons per
canoe), brings you to a village of ethnic M'nong
people. Late afternoon, drive back Buon Me Thuot. In
the evening attend the performance of ethnic dances,
songs and gong music in a nearby village and join
the villagers in drinking local “Can” wine.
Dinner and overnight at Bachma Hotel.
DAY 4: BUON ME THUOT -YORK DON - NHATRANG (B,L,D)
Drive to York Don National Forest and explore the
surrounding area during a 1 hour elephant ride.
Return to Buon Me Thuot for a short visit of the
Ethnographic Museum, which is housed in a Palace of
former king Bao Dai. After lunch we take the scenic
road towards the coastal plains to Nha Trang with a
short stopover at Po Nagar Cham Towers, built
between the 7th and 12th centuries.
Dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at Yasaka
Saigon Nha Trang or similar.
DAY 5: NHATRANG - PHANTHIET (B,L,D)
We travel southwards, passing lush rice fields, salt
ponds and dragon fruit plantations and break the
journey at Phan Rang to visit the 13th century Po
Klong Jarai Cham Towers, perched high on a rocky
hill surrounded by prickly pear cacti. After a photo
stop at the fishing harbour of Phan Thiet, we visit
a local home, where the famous Nuoc Mam (fish sauce)
is produced. Another stop will be at the vast sand
dunes at Cape Mui Ne, which have inspired numerous
photographers for many years. Tonight you will spend
at a beach resort on the beach.
Dinner and overnight at The Beach Resort or similar.
DAY 6: PHANTHIET - SAIGON (B)
At leisure on the beach. We then drive back to Ho
Chi Minh City. The tour concludes with a transfer to
your hotel (accommodation not included).
