Day 01-3:  Hanoi – Tai & Muong folk arts and craft
We start the city tour  today with a  visit to Ethnology Museum  with textile specialist . Briefing on Tai textiles and the connection of Dongson bronze with Tai  culture.  Explore  Muongland culture with opportunity to see gong beating and dancing festival.

Day 4-6: Sapa hilltribe villages and textile traditions
View most intriguing work & collection of ancient designs of local weaver.  Enjoy bast fiber (smashing, bleaching,..) Visit indigo or hemp farms and s study batik & tritik technique and H'mong and Dzao textiles. Enjoy the traditional musical performance of H’mong people.
Overnight at  Victoria Sapa hotel

Day 7-8: Tribal markets and
Visit the market place of northern Vietnam. Local people, especially young men and girls wearing their " Sunday best" come from many corner of surrounding villages in order to catch up with each other. This is a golden opportunity for any building photographers as the diversity of color on display is truly magnifice. Visit Tailu village at Hon village. Visit Black Zao and  Dzao with coins in CayDa village.

Day 9-10: Tai textiles
Visit Red H’mong villages at Xalong Commune. Visit  TaiDam in Muong Muon  village in Muong Lay area.  Afternoon visit to Naxon village – Laosnoi subgroup. Visit Black Tai Village. The next day get the flight back to Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoiand departure flight the following day.
